We recently finished the Overwhelmed to Overjoyed puppy programme with our six-month-old cocker spaniel and we would 100% recommend Daphné for any new dog parents! It is very ‘puppy-led’ work with positive reinforcement at the core, ie. we actively resist saying ‘no’ to anything, instead we just distract her with something else. At first, we were not sure how this approach would work out - it is really hard when your feet and ankles are being attacked to be calm… or when she looks like she is about to eat something gross…- but honestly after 12 weeks of following all of Daphné’s advice, our pup is the sweetest! she is super calm, social, curious of everything, and we think (hope) loves us as much as we do her. Daphné is really communicative, we had a whatsapp group between us and she always answered our questions quickly with lots of explanations to support protocols, links to resources, dog sitters etc - very helpful to have personalised guidance to make sense of all the information online. She also, probably most importantly, gave us so much reassurance that we weren’t screwing it up…! A dog and therapist in one. Thank you Daphné for everything, Shakira would love to see you any time!

I reached out to Daphne to help with my very anxious and nervous rescue dog who I brought from Indonesia to Spain. She was suffering from obvious trauma from her time on the streets, and the move to the other side of the world just added to her stress. She was very destructive when left alone at home, amongst other problems Just after a few weeks, armed with the right tools and preparation skills, we got to a stage where we are able to leave our Penny at home with no issues whatsoever for up to 4 or 5 hours (even longer if we get held up although we don't make that a habit) I have come away with so much knowledge and confidence on how to make life as easy and stress free as possible for Penny. And I feel like now I understand her so much more. I highly recommend working with Daphne. She made everything just make sense and I was blown away how quick we got such amazing results. On top of that she's just so lovely and you can feel that she really cares about you and your situation.

Having Daphne help me was definitely the best gift I could have ever given to my puppy! Apart from being an amazing and caring and lovely person, Daphne is a super knowledgeable and dedicated dog trainer. I learned so much from her and I am absolutely positive that the training made a huge difference in my dog’s development and behaviors. I recommend 100%!

It was a pleasure to work with Daphné. We contacted her before we brought our puppy home to get the best start possible. She guided us through introducing him to the hustle and bustle of living in the city, without getting him overwhelmed. Now 8 months on he is a well rounded puppy and doing very well. Daphné was kind and patient with our puppy and us. She offered lots of support outside of the lessons and answered our questions as they came up. I would 100% work with Daphné again.

My experience with Saving Slippers is very positive. I have a small dachshund, also my first dog ever. Daphné helped me to become more secure and confident with my dog, as I was very anxious and the beginning, when she picked up wood sticks from the street and tried to eat everything. Daphné has valuable tips in dealing with dogs. The main goal is that the dog is happy and the owner lives harmoniously with his dog. I also learned that it is important to let the dog be "dog". Thank you for your work!

I rescued George when he was almost 12 weeks. My family had dogs when I was younger, but I'd never had my own. Even though I was used to dogs and would often take care of friends dogs, I had a lot to learn. I found it hard to find a routine and desperately seeked guidance. George was only a baby, and we needed to develop our confidence with each other and get into our rhythm. Daphne helped us do that! She was there for us 24/7 if needed via WhatsApp and provided us with the key, basic structure that we needed to begin our lives together. George is now 8 and a half months old, and he is such a loving dog, he learns quickly, listens to commands and is growing in confidence every day. And that's thanks to the advice, practical exercises and routine that Daphne helped us put into place. It was great working with Daphne. She is super kind and understanding and a very knowledgable trainer. We are grateful we have someone to turn to when we need support and guidance. Thank you!

Joy is the name of the French Bulldog I had the chance to share my life with for 10 years.A wonderful dog. But the separation anxiety marked our everyday life to the point that my daily routine was coming home from work to a hyperventilated dog, clean the drools, pee and poop, calm her, go out for a walk. And this happened not only when I was coming home after a few hours out, but even after going downstairs to throw the trash. I tried to learn from YT tutorials, articles and TV shows how to manage the situation, but nothing worked. So I gave up and accepted the situation as it was, thinking there is no alternative. A change in my life though, made me look for a one-to-one professional that could handle the situation; and through some FB recommendations I met Daphne. And our lives changed. Daphne had the patience to explain how a dog thinks, what he needs and how I can provide Joy not only with food, water and treats, but also mental challenge, quality playtime, sensorial stimulation. And we went from drools and pee...to..watching Joy pace the hallway, play a little and then go to sleep. Things that never happened before. The quality of the relation I had with my dog improved.I learned with Daphné's help how to interpet Joy's behaviours, and how to prep her for when she was left alone. And somehow gain control of the situation. Daphne was there for us every day, responding to the messages and giving personalised advices. We felt her as a member of the pack, and will remain so for the wonder she bought into our lives.
